The Corporate Dare - Saying No to Record and Transcribe
An experiment in social pressure: what actually happens when someone says no to meeting transcription at work?
This is a very simple experiment, one based on the thought in The Worrying Convergence. Group think is a since long proven mechanism. I can’t help but notice there is a problem with a setting where you have partners, managers as well as customers in the same digital room, sometimes 10–15 persons or even more, and the question is asked: Is it ok if we record this?
The question for this experiment, if I dare to be this uncomfortable in a work setting, is simply this:
What happens if someone says no when asked if it is ok to record and transcribe a meeting at work?
I will see if I dare to follow through on this one… to be continued.
